Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst – Shared Services

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Analyst with a strong focus on cash application to join our Shared Services team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely posting of customer payments, resolving discrepancies, and supporting initiatives that drive process improvements. The position works closely with Credit and Collections to optimize receivables performance and maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily cash application activities, ensuring payments are applied accurately and promptly across multiple entities and currencies.
- Reconcile customer accounts, addressing unapplied or misapplied cash in partnership with internal teams and external customers.
- Collaborate with the Credit and Collections team to resolve payment discrepancies, support collection efforts, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Review AR aging reports, identify trends, and provide insights for performance improvement.
- Support month-end close through account reconciliations, reporting, and analysis.
- Drive process enhancements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency in cash application.
- Maintain documentation of internal controls and provide support during audits.
- Mentor junior AR team members, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in system upgrades and cross-functional projects related to AR processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience, with a focus on cash application.
- Hands-on SAP experience in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in a Shared Services or global finance setting.
- Familiarity with automation tools and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience with lockbox processing, bank integrations, and electronic payment formats.
- Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Working Conditions:
- Office-based position within a cubicle environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Compensation:
Typical salary range: $65,000 – $75,000 annually, with eligibility for overtime. Final compensation will be based on experience, education, and other job-related factors.
